The South King Fire Ride-Along Program provides an opportunity for residents to experience fire service functions firsthand.
Program Requirements
Participants must be at least 18 years old. In certain circumstances, participants under the age of 18 may be approved by the Operations Chief or their designee. A signed waiver and release form from the parent or guardian will be required for minors under the age of 18.
Prior to participating, every participant is required to review and acknowledge the enclosed instructions regarding compliance and confidentiality of patient protected health and personal information.

Please read the instructions thoroughly. Fill out the form below in its entirety and hit submit. You may also print the PDF version of the application and submit by email or mail. If you are under the age of 18, you must fill out the PDF form with a parent/ guardian signature. PDF forms can be submitted by emailing [email protected] or mailing to 31617 1st Ave S, Federal Way, WA 98003. Once your application is submitted, we will follow up with any questions, schedule changes, or confirmations of your scheduled ride.
Notice:
As of July 1st, 2026 we have limited our ride along capacity. Please provide at least 3 weeks’ notice for a ride. Applicants are not guaranteed a ride along.
