About the FBC
The Fire Benefit Charge (FBC) helps fund emergency response, to include staffing, emergency response equipment and supplies, training, maintenance, and other resources. Unlike a traditional property tax, the Fire Benefit Charge is based on the level of fire protection resources a property is expected to require, not simply on its assessed value.
