Annual Testing
Fire Protection Systems & Inspections
Fire protection systems are an essential component for the safe occupancy of the structure. The Annual Certification Test report is your documentation that the required systems are in good operating condition and the building is maintained safe for occupancy.

International Fire Code section 901.6 requires that these systems be inspected, tested, and maintained by a qualified and licensed company. Any deficiencies in the systems identified by the testing company must be repaired. Testing companies are listed in the yellow pages of the phone book under Fire Extinguishers, Fire Alarm Systems, Sprinklers-Automatic Fire, etc.

Qualified Contractors
The Office of the State Fire Marshal has provided a list of qualified contractors authorized to conduct fire sprinkler system tests.

Confidence Test Reports are submitted online at www.tegrisinc.com
South King Fire & Rescue has entered into an agreement with Tegris, Inc. to employ an electronic Inspection Management System within our service area. The purpose of the program is to ensure that fire protection systems are functional and ready for use.

The Tegris, Inc. system allows your existing fire protection system inspector to submit an electronic report on the functionality of your fire alarm system, fire sprinkler system and hood suppression system (and/or other fire protection systems installed in your facility) directly to the Fire Marshal.

Through the use of a secure web site, property owners, testing companies and the Fire Marshal can all view and edit property information and fire protection system status. The Tegris, Inc. system will automatically send reminders to property owners or managers when systems are due for testing. This service will ensure that you are aware of the status of your fire protection system, as well as the maintenance and testing responsibilities required under the International Fire Code.

Effective April 1, 2013 you may create a new profile, update or modify your contact and property information and submit all test reports.
