One night a year SKF&R incorporates all the requests by our scouting community for station tours. The annual event is held around April and the evenings activities are centered on the scouting requirements for a safety badge. For more information call 253-946-7246
Open Houses
Safety Saturday Open Houses are held annually in the fall of each year. The Safety Saturday Open Houses are conducted to invite our community into the fire stations to learn about safety, emergency preparedness and their local fire department. There is something for everyone. There are activities for children and for the adults, there is fire safety, injury prevention and emergency preparedness information. Station Tours
Tours of the fire station are available for groups no larger than 20 and must be requested at least two weeks in advance. You may request tours by calling 253-946-7337. Please have alternative dates in mind when scheduling, as our firefighters have mandatory training many days of the week and may not be able to accommodate your preferred date.
Groups of children 5 years and under must be chaperoned by at least one adult per five children. Station tours are always subject to cancellation by the fire department due to emergency responses. If your tour is cancelled or interrupted by an emergency response, we will gladly reschedule your visit.
Ride Alongs
Those wishing to ride along with fire crews must be at least 16 years of age, complete a ride along request form and waiver of liability. The forms can be obtained at the fire station or by clicking on the link below, and must be returned at least five business days in advance of the date requested for the ride along. The ride along cannot take place after 9 p.m. and the duration cannot be more than eight hours. Call 253-946-7247 to schedule.
